We are delighted to let you know about the Autumn Bard Mythologies Program. These Programs are part of a wider Nine Wave Immersion into Irish Myth that is worth understanding as the overall context.
After a very successful 18 months of running Myth Immersions on Zoom and building a great community with strong Irish base and Global participation we have now organized the Core Bard Program offering into a set of Nine Wave Immersion. Each of these is a two hour event over eight week. This is all designed to give participants a deep experience of this wonderful wisdom tradition. It is based, as always, on oral tellings which is always our starting point. However, the breakout groups where discussions about the stories and their relevance has always been a core part of the Bard “Mythic Method”. To participate in these Nine Waves, over two to three years offers an opportunity to learn about an extraordinary world and world view that participants have consistently found relevant to a troubled modernity. If there is one description we hear consistently about the Bard Event…. Uplifting!
It is in this overall context that the Autumn (Lughnasa) program will involve two Immersions:
1) The Tain Told and Retold including Karina Tynan’s work on the Tain from the perspective of the female figures.
2) Cesair’s Journey and the Creation Myths of the Western World. This immersion is a comparative mythology experience and looks at the myths of the culture’s Cesair visited
