Bard Summer School 2023 – Myths of Beauty
We are exploring two of the Irish Beauty Myth on this years
Bard Summer School: Deirdre of the Sorrows and Midir and Etain.
We will be exploring the connection between beauty and power, asking why it is that the main beneficiary of a beauty myth is never the beautiful woman, and thinking about the beauty myths in Warrior Mythologies and Goddess Mythologies.
As always there will be the experience of a stunning island, with walks and swims in the sea (+sauna after), there will be the wonderful Island Storytelling Night, and as always the Feasta on the final evening.
We will be providing all the food apart from breakfast (in B&B’s) so have slightly increased the fee. We will be in touch with accommodation options when you register.
Look forward to seeing you for our 26th Year on Clare Island.
