Week 2 Jan 29th Delgnat: Women and the Law
We began with Chaobang’s telling of the Partholonian Story with the important matter of the judgement around Delgnat.
This was the ‘first judgement’ and was in favour of the woman. Karina again took us in to the first person experience of Delgnat which as always was very illuminating. Ellen O’Malley- Dunlop then gave us an overview of her experience of Women and the Law in the recent Irish context. Her background as Chair of the National Womens Council and CEO of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre offered another important perspective.
