Women and Power: Week 4

Midir and Etain: The Fate of Fuamnach

This week we cover the otherworldly story of Midir and Etain. The story is told by Aoife Doyle who makes her Bard debut. And an excellent job she did, I am sure you will agree. One of the themes that is central to this week’s telling is the fate and portrayal of the wronged woman. Fuamnach is betrayed by her husband and ends up getting her head cut off. Karina’s tells the story from her perspective. We are unable to post this because of copyright reasons in relation to an upcoming book.
