The Nine Waves Series Continues:
NINE WAVES VI THE CESAIR JOURNEY EXPLORING IRELAND’S CREATION MYTHS
In this Series we build on the Story of Cesair and her remerkable journey from Africa through the known world, and rejection from her Grandfather Noah for a place on the Ark. She builds three Arks with her colleagues and sets off to start again.
We hear the Creation Myths of all the Cultures she travels through and we ask….. What would have been a Creation Story that she could live by? Would she have accepted the Universal Creation story as laid out in the early books of Genesis or perhaps looked to make a fresh start.
We look at Egyptian, Babylonian, Hebrew and Greek Creation Myths and the emergence of the Mythology of the “Chosen People” and that of the “Strong Man”.

The Return of Mythic Wisdom
The Annual Bard Summer School 2025 is, as always, an immersive experience of Myth and it’s relevance to modernity. As always the experience of a journey to an Island in the Wild Atlantic is an important part of the Week.
This year we will be exploring the Mythic Wisdom of some of the earliest Archetypal figures in the Foundation Book of Ireland: Lebor Gabála, the Book of Invasion
We will hear the wisdom of the sage Fintan mac Bochna and his ideas for the settling of Tara, the sacred centre. We will hear from the Scythian King Fenius Farsaid and his visit to the Tower of Babel to craft a “perfect language”! We will hear about silver branch perception and the Voyage of Bran. We will combine this with the Wisdom of the Goddesses but with a focus on Brigit.
We are delighted to be running the Summer School at McCabe’s Granuaile House, hosted by Rory Mccabe and his team. It all worked very well last year.
We will be making the bookings available first to the regulars and those who have been at the Summer School over its 25 years. If oversubcribed we will consider another date.
