Myths of the Civil War

Bard Mythologies
Myths of the Civil War
July 11th to 19th 2020

This memo is a record of the Bard Summer School.  It contains a summary of the Myth of the Battle of Magh Lena as told.  It also includes participants reflections, the key task and briefing, the key elements of the presentations, and a reflection on the School.

The relevance of this paper is that it captures the thoughts of thirty six participants and their deep dive into one of the key myths of the culture, and what can be seen as a culture’s operating system.  And as we know, the myths are always heard as being about today!

Thanks to all but especially Peter and the Connacht group for the image.
